Deleting data

Unless your request conflicts with a legal obligation to retain data (e.g. data retention), you have a right to have your data deleted. Data stored by us will be deleted if it is no longer required for its intended purpose and there are no legal retention periods. If deletion cannot be carried out because the data is required for permissible legal purposes, data processing will be restricted. In this case, the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes.

Any disclosure for other non-commercial or commercial purposes will only be made with your express and personal permission.

Social network

YouTube
We maintain an online presence on YouTube to present our company and our services and to communicate with customers/prospects. YouTube is a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA.

In this respect, we would like to point out that there is a possibility that user data may be processed outside the European Union, in particular in the USA. This may pose increased risks to users in that, for example, it may be more difficult to access user data at a later date. We also do not have access to this user data. The access possibility lies exclusively with YouTube. You can find YouTube’s data protection information at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Facebook
To advertise our products and services and to communicate with interested parties or customers, we operate a company presence on the Facebook platform. On this social media platform, we are jointly responsible with Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2 Ireland. Facebook’s data protection officer can be reached via a contact form: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/540977946302970.

We have regulated the joint responsibility in an agreement regarding the respective obligations in terms of the GDPR. This agreement, from which the mutual obligations arise, can be accessed at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum

The legal basis for the processing of personal data that thereby takes place and is reproduced below is Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. Our legitimate interest is in the analysis, communication and sales and promotion of our products and services. The legal basis may also be the user’s consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO vis-à-vis the platform operator. The user can revoke this consent for the future at any time by notifying the platform operator in accordance with Art. 7 (3) DSGVO. When calling up our online presence on the Facebook platform, data of the user (e.g. personal information, IP address, etc.) is processed by Facebook Ireland Ltd. as operator of the platform in the EU.

This user data is used for statistical information about the use of our company presence on Facebook. Facebook Ireland Ltd. uses this data for market research and advertising purposes and to create profiles of users. On the basis of these profiles, it is possible for Facebook Ireland Ltd., for example, to advertise users within and outside of Facebook according to their interests. If the user is logged into his account on Facebook at the time of the call, Facebook Ireland Ltd. can also link the data with the respective user account.

In the event that the user contacts us via Facebook, the user’s personal data entered on this occasion will be used to process the request. The user’s data will be deleted by us, provided that the user’s inquiry has been conclusively answered and there are no legal retention obligations, such as in the case of subsequent contract processing, to the contrary. In order to process the data, Facebook Ireland Ltd. may also set cookies. If the user does not agree to this processing, it is possible to prevent the installation of cookies by setting the browser accordingly. Cookies that have already been stored can also be deleted at any time. The settings for this depend on the respective browser. In the case of Flash cookies, processing cannot be prevented via the browser settings, but by the corresponding setting of the Flash player. If the user prevents or restricts the installation of cookies, this may mean that not all functions of Facebook can be fully used. More details about the processing activities, their prevention and the deletion of the data processed by Facebook can be found in Facebook’s data policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.

It is not excluded that processing by Facebook Ireland Ltd. also takes place via Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025 in the USA.

Instagram
To advertise our products and services and to communicate with interested parties or customers, we operate a company presence on the Instagram platform. On this social media platform, we are jointly responsible with Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2 Ireland. The data protection officer of Instagram can be reached via a contact form: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/540977946302970.

We have regulated the joint responsibility in an agreement regarding the respective obligations within the meaning of the GDPR. This agreement, from which the mutual obligations arise, can be accessed at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum

The legal basis for the processing of personal data that thereby takes place and is reproduced below is Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. The user can revoke this consent for the future at any time by notifying the platform operator in accordance with Art. 7 (3) DSGVO. When calling up our online presence on the Instagram platform, data of the user (e.g. personal information, IP address, etc.) is processed by Facebook Ireland Ltd. as operator of the platform in the EU.

This user data is used for statistical information about the use of our company presence on Instagram. Facebook Ireland Ltd. uses this data for market research and advertising purposes and to create profiles of users. Based on these profiles, it is possible for Facebook Ireland Ltd., for example, to advertise users within and outside of Instagram based on their interests. If the user is logged into his account on Instagram at the time of the call, Facebook Ireland Ltd. can also link the data with the respective user account. In the event that the user contacts us via Instagram, the user’s personal data entered on this occasion will be used to process the request. The user’s data will be deleted by us, provided that the user’s inquiry has been conclusively answered and no legal retention obligations, such as in the case of subsequent contract processing, are opposed to this.

More details about the processing activities, their prevention and the deletion of data processed by Instagram can be found in the Instagram data policy: https://help.instagram.com/519522125107875.

It is not excluded that processing by Facebook Ireland Ltd. also takes place via Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025 in the USA.

Social media linking via graphic or text link

We also promote presences on the social networks listed below on our website. The integration takes place via a linked graphic of the respective network. The use of this linked graphic prevents a connection from being automatically established to the respective server of the social network when a website with a social media advertisement is called up in order to display a graphic of the respective network itself. Only by clicking on the corresponding graphic will the user be redirected to the service of the respective social network.

After the user has been forwarded, information about the user is collected by the respective network. It cannot be ruled out here that processing of the data collected in this way takes place in the USA.

This is initially data such as IP address, date, time and page visited. If the user is logged into his user account of the respective network during this time, the network operator may be able to assign the collected information of the specific visit of the user to the personal account of the user. If the user interacts via a “Share” button of the respective network, this information can be stored in the user’s personal user account and may be published. If the user wants to prevent the collected information from being directly assigned to his user account, he must log out before clicking on the graphic. In addition, it is possible to configure the respective user account accordingly.

The following social networks are integrated into our site by linking:

Google Analytics

Our website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider of the web analytics service is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses “cookies.” These are small text files that your web browser stores on your terminal device and enable an analysis of website usage. Information generated by means of cookies about your use of our website is transmitted to a Google server and stored there. The server is usually located in the USA.

The setting of Google Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize our website and, if necessary, advertising.

IP anonymization
We use Google Analytics in conjunction with the IP anonymization function. It ensures that Google truncates your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmitting it to the USA. There may be exceptional cases in which Google transfers the full IP address to a server in the USA and shortens it there. On our behalf, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. There is no merging of the IP address transmitted by Google Analytics with other data from Google.

Browser Plugin
The setting of cookies by your web browser can be prevented. However, some functions of our website could be restricted as a result. Likewise, you can prevent the collection of data relating to your website usage, including your IP address, together with subsequent processing by Google. This is possible by downloading and installing the browser plugin accessible via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Objection to data collection
You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set that will prevent the collection of your data during future visits to our website: Disable Google Analytics. For details on how Google Analytics handles user data, please see Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Order processing
In order to fully comply with the legal data protection requirements, we have concluded an order processing agreement with Google.

Demographic characteristics with Google Analytics
Our website uses the “demographic characteristics” function of Google Analytics. It can be used to create reports that contain statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google as well as visitor data from third-party providers. It is not possible to assign the data to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time. This is possible via the ad settings in your Google account or by generally prohibiting the collection of your data by Google Analytics, as explained in the item “Objection to data collection”.

Google Maps
On our website, we use Google Maps to display our location and to create directions. This is a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

To enable the display of certain fonts on our website, a connection to the Google server in the USA is established when you access our website. If you call up the Google Maps component integrated into our website, Google stores a cookie on your terminal device via your Internet browser. In order to display our location and provide directions, your user settings and data are processed. Here, we cannot exclude that Google uses servers in the USA. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in optimizing the functionality of our website. Through the connection to Google established in this way, Google can determine from which website your request was sent and to which IP address the directions are to be transmitted. If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your Internet browser. Details on this can be found above under the item “Cookies”.

In addition, the use of Google Maps and the information obtained via Google Maps is subject to the Google Terms of Use https://policies.google.com/terms?gl=DE&hl=de and the Terms and Conditions for Google Maps https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.

In addition, Google offers a website at
https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated
https://policies.google.com/privacy
offers further information.

Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to integrate advertisements into our website. This is a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

Google AdSense stores cookies as well as so-called web beacons on your end device via your internet browser. This enables Google to analyze how you use our website. The information collected in this way, along with your IP address and the advertising formats displayed to you, is transferred to Google in the USA and stored there. Furthermore, Google may pass this information on to contractual partners. However, Google declares that your IP address would not be merged with other data of yours. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our website. If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your Internet browser. Details on this can be found above under the item “Cookies”.

In addition, Google offers a cookie service at
https://policies.google.com/privacy

for further information, in particular on the options for preventing the use of data.

Contact form

Data transmitted via contact form or e-mail, including your contact data, will be stored in order to process your inquiry or to be available for follow-up questions. This data will not be passed on without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form / in the e-mail is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). A revocation of your already given consent is possible at any time. An informal communication by e-mail is sufficient for the revocation. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Data transmitted via the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it or there is no longer any need to store it. Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
